Fall/Winter Lookbook 2019/2020: Classic Style, Bohemian Venue

We shot our Fall/Winter Lookbook in a suitably iconic venue: Union Square in London’s Southwark. This was one of the standout locations in the movie Bohemian Rhapsody, the riveting celebration of Queen, their music and Freddie Mercury, their larger-than-life lead singer.

Although the movie doctored the street to resemble Midtown New York City, we took no such liberties. Our model was the only element we dressed.

Here’s a brief overview of the eight looks.

LOOK 1: THE SENSZIO X LORO PIANA CUSTOM 2-PIECE SUIT

A Loro Piana fabric in a 100% superfine wool sourced from a New Zealand breeder determined to restore the dignity and importance of the black Merino sheep. The fabric is ultra-soft, comfortable and durable. At a weight of 320 gms/mt, it’s also ideal for Fall, Winter and Spring.

LOOK 2: THE CUSTOM SHAWL COAT

The fabric comes from Carnet’s Overcoat collection, with polyamide giving it stretch. This improves movement and manoeuvrability, especially where clients prefer a slimmer fit. At 550 gms/mt, it’s a fine alternative to a traditional overcoat that might be too heavy-duty or formal.

The coat is equipped with a number of well-thought-out elements. The shawl collar can be turned up to protect the neck and the slightly longer-than-standard length is inspired by car coats, to provide protection for suit jackets.

A pleat at the back allows for comfortable movement. The adjustable half-belt that ends at the seams can be pulled slightly, creating a nice silhouette for the waist while creating fullness above (for the lats/blades) and below (for the hips). Gold buttons make the coat casual. For a more-formal look, opt for a medium-brown horn.

LOOK 3: ODD WAISTCOAT

Odd vests can give a limited wardrobe extraordinary flexibility. If you have only one jacket and two suits, then invest in two odd vests, suddenly you have outfits for nine different occasions. For more information on nailing waistcoat style, check out our guide to ensuring the perfect fit.

LOOK 4: THE SENSZIO X LORO PIANA CUSTOM BEIGE SPORTS JACKET AND CORDUROY TROUSERS

A Loro Piana fabric with cashmere from the Capra Hircus. This is ‘the cashmere goat’, an animal that produces some of the finest raw materials in the world. However, the fleece of its kid is even rarer, softer and lighter. With harvesting being a complex exercise, this is one of the most exclusive materials in the world.

The corduroy trousers feature two different threads: cotton and cashmere. The latter provides a warmer, brushed effect.

LOOK 5: THE SENSZIO X LORO PIANA CUSTOM 3-PIECE SUIT

Another Loro Piana fabric. This one is 100% superfine wool sourced from the same New Zealand breeder as Look 1. The fabric is ultra-soft, comfortable, durable, and perfect for all-year-round wear.

LOOK 6: THE SENSZIO CUSTOM TRENCH COAT

A new product we launched in September. An iconic piece lending versatility to your wardrobe, it comes with our signature removable wool and cashmere lining. This allows you to wear the coat all year round.

We suggest customizing the length to fall past the knee. This allows protection from natural elements such as rain and wind. But all other elements can also be customized to suit your preferences, such as the lapels, pockets and buttons.

The fabric is available in waterproof wool and cotton, and in classic colours such as blue, grey, and beige.
