Thomas Mason Seasonal Selection: Autumn Winter 2019
Performance, comfort and versatility are words that evoke the identity of our new Autumn/Winter Seasonal Selection 2019-20. A high-quality collection, refined in raw material and color choice , designed for those who look for originality. It also offers an answer to the tailoring needs of the moment.
The main inspiration has been a short but very intense trip to Chicago: a constantly-evolving city that, thanks to its vibrant blues and rock bars, its eclectic and stunning architecture, a variety of ethnical neighborhoods and big green parks facing lake Michigan, is able to keep you warm also during the most rigid winter.

INTERVIEW WITH THE DESIGNER
Which are the main trends of the season?
This season we wanted to give space to fabrics which challenge the rules of classic shirting, adding unique performances. An example is Journey, an innovative anti-wrinkle fabric, that is becoming a real best-seller. The fabric is ideated for a comfortable and versatile business shirt, maintaining its perfection from dusk till dawn.
Fabrics that take life from natural and noble raw materials, like cotton, cashmere and wool, and that express a warm and involving luxury. Characterized by a soft and pleasant touch, suited for high-class casual shirts: cool to wear, simple to care and with unique comfort.
The wool, coming from Australia and mulesing-free certificated, is spun from ‘I Contoni di Albini’ with a cutting-edge cotton technique that creates a highly performing fabric: light and resistant at the same time, comfortable and naturally elastic, machine washable, uncrushable and pilling resistant.
Not only shirts: with Macbeth, a double-twisted fabric with a heavier weight, we give you the potential to create overshirts in various sophisticated colors.
Which are the colors of the season?
The trendy colors of the season are burgundy, ochre, blue and dark green. They are warm and elegant and declined into stripes, checks and floral prints.
